Shahryar qualified in 1999 from The Royal London Hospital. He has many years of experience in general dental practice providing aesthetic and restorative dentistry to a high level. He is also a qualified Invisalign provider.
Over the years Shahryar has also reached specialist level in oral surgery and implant dentistry and has highly respected qualifications within the profession. These include the tri-collegiate specialist membership exam in oral surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons and also the FGDP Diploma in Implant dentistry with advanced certificate in bone grafting.
Shahryar teaches other qualified dentists at Guy’s hospital all aspects of oral surgery for example complex wisdom teeth and cyst removal under local anaesthetic and conscious sedation.
He now has several publications in peer-reviewed journals such as the British Dental Journal and Oral Surgery journals e.g ‘Should we screen for hypertension in general dental practice?’
Shahryar is about to start research in two different projects at Guys which include ‘ Does music reduce anxiety during third molar surgery’ and the other is related to Oral Cancer Screening in general dental practice.
